| Bose-Einstein condensation with spin degrees of freedom, the so-called spinor condensate, has been an active research topic in the field of ultracold atoms for a long time in both experimental and theoretical studies. In 2013,a geometric Hall effect was observed by Shin’ group of Seoul National University in an antiferromagnetic 23Na condensate. In 2014,the Dirac monopole was observed by Hall’ group of Amherst College with the similar method in a ferromagnetic 87Rb condensate. We study the dynamic behavior of spin-1 87Rb condensate controlled by the mothod of Shin’ group, with the numerical simulation of the system’s collective excitations, basing on a time-dependent variational approach. It is shown that the geometric Hall effect of ferromagnetic condensate is much weak than that of antiferromagnetic one. |
