Gao Yan manganese deposit located in the south of Daba Mountain of Qinling Mountains which belongs to the lead-zinc metallogenic belt of high phosphorus manganese ore, is an important metallogenic prospect. Ore bodies are hosted in Sinian system steep Doushantuo group containing manganese carbonate formations in, belongs to the shallow water phase sedimentary hydrothermal type manganese deposit.In this paper to Chengkou County Gaoyan manganese deposit geological characteristics analyzed based on, through field geological work, the system stratification sampling. Research on the geological characteristics of the deposit, the genetic mineralogy of pyrite and the geochemical characteristics of the ore deposits in the study area:(1)The framboidal pyrite grain size statistics demonstrated that the content of manganese rocks of sedimentary environment from the old to the new performance for oxidation- reduction- oxidation process, in the enrichment process of manganese in the vulcanization of a hypoxic microenvironment, forming a large particle size of framboidal pyrite. The grain size of the strawberry pyrite is positively correlated with the enrichment of manganese.(2)The main elements of the content, Mn/Fe ratio, Al/(Al+Fe+Mn), Fe-Ca+Mg, Al-Fe-Mn, Na(wt%) discriminant diagrams of Mg(wt%), MnO/TiO2 and MnO/Al2O3 ratio and Mn/Ti ratio showed high salinity high manganese ore manganese enrichment belongs to Yan, away from the shore up to area; and the enrichment and pure hot water deposition on the ocean, the seam of the Doushantuo Formation in two segments and the overlying rock section of the Dengying Formation are the hot solution; taste characteristics of manganese are two intermittent changes, namely manganese dolomitic reservoir with high grade seam roof argillaceous calcareous shale deposits the internal layer and the relatively low grade ore; Gao Yan manganese deposit in relatively stable sedimentary environment.(3)Oceanic crust and upper continental crust and the continental crust trace elements and average compared to Gaoyan manganese ore enrichment of Ag, as, Mo, Sb, Se and W, Cr, Ge, SC is a loss of status, be, CD, Nb, Sr, Ta, th, Zr, close to the average content of the oceanic crust, Ba, Bi, Cu, Pb, Sn, Tl, u, V close to the average content of trace elements in the upper continental crust. The total amount of rare earth elements(REE) content from 38.55~244.88 ppm average 105.34 ppm, seam roof REE values higher. There is a negative correlation between showed that Mn enrichment and total content of rare earth elements. NASC normalized pattern curve, 8eu range to 1.10~2.84, showed a positive Eu anomaly; CE, ranging from 0.43 to 1.17, showed a weak negative CE anomaly; indicating a lower temperature of rocks and ores and hypoxia reduction alkaline environment.(4)Chengkou Gaoyan manganese deposit, high grade manganese ore is strictly controlled by strata control, as well as by faults cutting seriously, the source of ore-forming materials including terrigenous migration and currents of hot water deposition, dominated by terrigenous sources. The lithofacies palaeogeography environment belongs to the detention basin facies deep-water reductive environment. The enrichment of Mn occurs in shallow marine area, which is far from the coast.
