Amunick region, which is of the strong tectonic magmatic activity and obvious geochemical anomalous of Cu?Pb?Zn?Mo?As?Sb?Li?W and rare earth elements, is located in the northern Qaidam Basin. The prospecting potential is great. After having Gathered the data of previous geology, minerals, geophysical, geochemical and remote sensing ralated to this area, and Having Participated the 1:50000 Survey of Geology and Minerals of the Amu nick region,We intensively studied the structural, stratigraphic, magmatic, metamorphic and other features of the study area. on the basis of these work, we undertaked the remote sensing, geophysical and geochemical prospecting, and found some comprehensive abnormalities. at the same time we had analysed metallogenic geological conditions, mineralized zones, mineralized bodies, ore-controlling factors, genesis of the newly discovered deposit in the study area in detail,Finally, Comprehensively evaluated the prospecting potential of Lead- Zinc Polymetallic of study area, defined the metallogenic prospect zones in Amunick region.Exposed strata: Early Paleozoic Cambrian–Ordovician Tanjianshan Group(?OT);Maoniushan Formation(D2-3m) ? Amu nick Formation((D3-C1)a) Chengqianggou Formation(C1cq) and Huaitoutala Fo rmation(C1h)of Late Paleozoic; Dameigou Formation(J1-2dm)and Caishiing Formation( J2c) of Mesozoic; Shizigou Formation(N2s) and Youshashan Formation(N2y)of Cenozoic; and Quaternary(Q). In the study area, there are a lot of faults, Frequent magmatic activities and hydrothermal activities from Cambrian to Early Carboniferous. The study area belongs to the Kunlun(orogenic belt) metallogenic province. Taking the fault in Northern border of Qaidam as boundary, north-central part belongs to the Northern Qaidam Pb-Zn-Mn-Cr-Au- muscovite mineralization belt. From the known mining points, most promising Pb, Zn, Au, Cu and other metal mineralization belts were concentrated here.Dadakenwula lead- zinc deposit is located in the southeast of the Mount Dadakenwula. Its geotectonic position is in the center part of Western Plate. Based on the comprehensive studies of Dadakenwula lead- zinc deposit, there is the second segment and the third segment of Maoniushan Formation(D2-3m) of the Middle- late Devonian, Youshashan Formation of the Pliocene(N2y) and Quaternary(Q).There are two major groups of fractures with north-west and nearly east-west direction. The ore bodies are mainly appeared in the volcanic rocks in the third segment of Maoniushan Formation. The main ore-bearing rock is tuff. Surrounding rocks are volcanic breccias. This suit of formation is closely related to mineralization, At the present. the three lead-zinc zone, which are named No.?, No. ?and No. ?,were discovered in the predicting area. the 6 ore bodies have been found in the No.?lead-zinc zone, 7 ore bodies have been found in the No.? lead- zinc zone and 19 ore bodies have been found in the No.? lead-zinc zone. The metallogenic stages of Dadakenwula lead- zinc deposit can be divided into Volcanism mineralization stage and Sub- volcanic hydrothermal mineralization stage. And there are three metallogenic models: VMS type mineralization model, element zonation mode, and mineral formation stacking sequence model.Through outlineation of comprehensive prospecting anomalies, two metallogenic prospecting zones of lead-zinc polymetallic have been partitioned, furthe more, two prospecting target areas have been outlined respectively in the two metallogenic prospects. Overall, this study area is thanked that ore- forming geological conditions is advantageous, and the prospecting potential is good.
