As one of the important design methods of experimental design, the mixture design is widely used in the optimization of production and testing in agriculture and industry.Nowadays,more and more experts and scholars study on mixture experimental design,combining the best rules with a variety of mixture models, and constantly update and improve it. However, few statistical inferences apply to the mixture experimental design. In this paper, variable selection of the statistical inference was applied to the mixture experiment design. Using the data to establish the mixture model, this paper used the variable selection method to determine the merits of the model.This paper included five chapters:The first chapter, we introduced the research background,contents and signif-icance.In chapter 2, this paper introduced the newly theory breakthrough of variable selection method and experimental method in the mixture design,which mainly in-troduce the compounded optimal design of the linear mixture model and the theory of hypothesis test for mixture model.In recent year,study on variable selection is one of the hot spots in the field of statistics.It is critical to overview the variable choice theory and apply the variable selection to the mixed mixture design.In chapter 3,this paper discussed the impact of variable selection on prediction and a variety of different criteria of variables selections,especially on the variable selection method of the mixture models,suggesting that the C_p method and AIC method were relatively more outstanding in variable selection method for mixture model.The fourth chapter discussed the application of the C_p method to simplify the mixture model with the example of the general mixture and traditional Chi-nese medicine herbs. At the same time,the selection of variables which is gotten in the independent variable system concluded that mixture system variable and in- dependent variable system fitting the same to prediction equations are essentially consistent.Besides,this chapter obtained general conclusions by comparing the C_p method with the other.The chapter 5,introduce of the major results of this paper.
