Based on the mineralization theory of VMS,this study took the North Atlantic Ocean as an example to predict the polymetallic sulfide mineral resources.After the collection,classification and summarization the mineral data,the the favourable mineralization factors was summarized and the prospecting model of polymetallic sulfide mineral resources in Mid-Atlantic Ocean Ridge was established.By using the geo-statistics methods,the prospecting mineralization area was blocked out.In order to electe the target region of mineralization,the 3D geological models of TAG was established and the ore-bearing hydrothermal transport process in research field was simulated.By analyzing the results,the geological evolution process and mineralization mechanism was summarized and the favourable mineralization factors was elected.The result of this study will provide an important reference for the exploration of polymetallic sulfide mineral resources.The main achievements and innovation of this study are as follows:1.The quantitative prediction and evaluation of polymetallic sulfide mineral resources in Mid-Atlantic Ridge was achievedBy comparatively analyzing the mineral data,such as the depth of water,gravity,magnetic,earhquake,the favourable mineralization factors of polymetallic sulfide mineral resources was summarized and established the prospecting model of polymetallic sulfide mineral resources in Mid-Atlantic Ocean Ridge.By using the geo-statistics methods,the distribution of was polymetallic sulfide mineral resources in Mid-Atlantic Ocean Ridge was predicted and the mineralization vision area was blocked out.2.The 3D simulation prediction of polymetallic sulfide mineral vents filed was achievedThe 3D geological models of TAG was established,which realized the simulation of 3D models in depth;the ocean mineralization environment of North Atlantic Ocean and mineralization process of polymetallic sulfide mineral resources was summarized;the ore-bearing hydrothermal transport process in research field wassimulated.According to the simulation results,the mineralization mechanism was analyzed,the favorable mineralization conditions was extracted and the target region of mineralization was elected.3.The prediction methods of polymetallic sulfide mineral resources were summarizedSummarized the deposit model of polymetallic sulfide mineral resources,achieved the key techonology of 3D simulation prediction of polymetallic sulfide mineral vents filed,established the methods flow of the prediction of polymetallic sulfide mineral resources,which made the foundation for the following study.
