A Research On The Transport Conditions Index System Construction Of Geographical Conditions Regional Economic Potential

Transportation is one of the significant basic industries those support the national economy, and the guarantee of the regional economic development and social undertaking development. According to the content and requirements of comprehensive statistical analysis of Geographical Conditions Census, constructing the transport conditions index system of regional economic potential project helps to objectively understand and evaluate the level of regional transport conditions. It also provides a basis for government decision-making and planning, and then promotes the construction and development of transportation.Firstly, this paper analyzes the research situation at home and abroad of transportation evaluation index system and the relationship between transportation and regional economic development, then studies the basic theory of regional economy and transport and analyzes the special action relationships between transportation and regional economy. This work provides a theoretical basis for building the index system.Secondly,this paper builds the transport conditions index system of Geographical Conditions Census regional economic potential based on the contents and index of Geographical Conditions Census. It mainly includes three levels of transport network density, the traffic trunk roads effect and the traffic location advantage. It also expounds the meaning, purpose, calculation method and the details at great length. Then, this paper uses the liner weighting method to composite the index and the correlation coefficient method, the mean square deviation method and the existing model to determinate weights. It also combines with qualitative and quantitative analysis to classify and evaluate the index, and then results in the evaluation model of transport conditions.Finally,in order to verify the scientificity and rationality of the evaluation model, this paper makes an empirical study by using Xiamen City and Dongying District. The research evaluates and compares the transport conditions of the two areas. Then it analyzes the results and corresponding economic indicators to provide the basis for transportation planning and construction and to lay a foundation for the construction of regional economic potential index system.
