Methodology Of Virtual Geographic Environment Construction Based On CryEngine

Virtual Geographic Environment is the combination of the virtual reality with geography.It is a new type of geography language, and it can offer new platform alsoprovides for the geography experiment. It is significance target that it imitation geographic objects and phenomena.Aiming at building the platform of virtual geographic environment expression ability is weak, not well reflects the virtual geographic environment with beautiful environment and process simulation, using CryEngine high-performance 3D engine platform, simulation research on 3D terrain reconstruction,vegetation, dynamic expression and character behavior simulation environment, implements the scene fine drawing, the environment and the characters of dynamic simulation, and have been applied in the virtual campus prototype system and the result is good.In this paper based on CryEngine to build virtual geographic environment.virtual campus prototype system is developed, based on the prototype system, implementation of the technical validation. Specific research contents include:1. Virtual terrain environment based on CryEngine fast reconstruction; In view of the terrain model in a certain area, through the processing and platform, with the method of editing software, rapid and accurate simulation of terrain.2. Modeling and dynamic simulation based on CryEngine vegetation; In view of the effect of vegetation in the wind and the collision, respectively by giving different material ID and build a collision body, vegetation dynamic simulation is realized.3. Character modeling and behavior modeling, implementation based on CryEngine control; Oriented virtual prototyping system, campus after test shows that the method of this study can be meet the requirements of virtual geographic environment fine expression to the environment.
