The thin plate structural is widely used in various fields as a member of the most important forms. In its corresponding design, application process, the vibration characteristics of components are very important. In engineering practice, if we can use similarity theory to design test model, and use physical simulation experimental method to predict the vibration characteristics of the prototype structure (natural frequencies, mode shapes and mass, stiffness, damping, and the impact of its load) prototype structure or reproducing the fault characteristics, not only can use the most economical and shortest cycle for research, but also allows a test which would not be the object of study to be possible.The design of similar model is based on similar theory, which makes the test model similar to the prototype structure physics to satisfy geometric,motion and dynamics similarity. Based on the basic similarity theory of the model test, this paper regards the plate thin plate structural as the research object, the similarity test model for component design criteria and distortion correction methods and other issues are studied and discussed. The main contents of this paper can be summarized as the following aspects:(1)Selecting a kind of leaves as the research object, according to its structural features to simplify it into cantilever plate. Using the vibration of the cantilever plate theory to deduce the calculation of static frequency and dynamic frequency. Furthermore, according to the analysis of the resulting equations, drawn about the similarity relationships Elastic Thin Plate.(2) Based on dimensional analysis theory,according to the thin cantilever modal analysis,which involves the dimensions of the various physical quantities for collation, analysis and deduction,we can get the plate dynamics similarity criteria. Contrast similarities and differences between the two methods.(3) According to the similarity theory, in connection with the characteristics of distored component model, this paper proposes the corrected model method of plate distortion. Regarding the width distortion of plate as an example, this paper uses method of approximation to amend the affected its order frequency. Using the secondary similarity, the correction is completed by transforming length distortion of plate into width distortion. And some specific order can be corrected by using the lumped-mass method.(4) Using ANSYS finite element software to verify the similarity criteria and the correction method of plate. At last,this paper supplements model experiments to validate the contents of the above. Model experiments are involving completely geometric similarity relationship verification, the distortion of thickness similar relationship verification, material distortion similar relationship verification and the width distortion correction similar relationship verification.In this paper, the basic components like plate similar design issues are studied in detail relatively. This paper covers the similar design criteria, distortion correction method and experimental methods of plate model test, which supplies basic reference theory of the thin plate structurals vane type plate model test method, this has important significance.
