Front facies reservoir is an important accumulation unit in Xingbei Development Area of Daqing Oilfield, which is featured with narrow, thin, and scattered sand body, and is the main object for the water drive adjustment of Xingbei Development Area, whose annual oil production accounts for over 60% of the whole area. In recent years, the sealed coring wells still reflect a good exploit potentiality for front facies reservoir. Meanwhile, the development adjustment entering ultra-high water-cut stage also requires the further deepening geological research. The study developed in the paper has provided geosteering for the better understanding of the sedimentary characteristics and heterogeneity of the front facies reservoir, and the development adjustment for higher benefits.The paper innovatively forms the construction method of the genetic single sand body strata framework of the front facies reservoir, and divides 95 sedimentation units in the east part of Xingliu Division, which reach single sand body level. Restricted with standard wells, it applies 6 kinds of comparative techniques to establish the isochronous stratigraphic frameworks for the 1182 wells of the whole area; it also refines the sedimentary microfacies types from 5 types to 7, and more accurately depicts the plane heterogeneity of the reservoir; in respect of the key time cells, it conducts the studies on the facies-controlled reservoir coefficient, transmission coefficient, and net-to-gross ratio, and finally marks out the facies-controlled flow unit, which provides basis for the dynamic adjustment of the injection and production wells; in the key time cells, it also studies the vertical heterogeneity and the plane heterogeneity. As seen from the study result, the area has pretty high degree of heterogeneity. Through vertically subdividing the injection and production intervals and refining the injection and production adjustment on the plane, the development contradictions caused by the heterogeneity can be resolved, and the exploitation benefits can be further promoted.
