The northern mining area of Funiushan is located in the Yangtze block,Yangtze fold belt of the depression.The copper deposits mainly occured in the north wing of the tanglun secondary anticline mountain procumbent syncline core and lenticular ore bodies are produced in the contact zone between the granodiorite porphyry and Qixia formation of Permian and qinglong formation of Triassic carbonate rocks.Through studying the orebody characteristics of copper deposit,mineral composition and ore texture,we determine the type of deposit and prospecting direction.Through electromagnetic method,IP intermediate gradient method of geophysical methods generally,we determine the favorable prospecting targets and engineering verification.The main results of this paper are as follows:1.Copper deposit in the northern mining area of Funiushan arelenticular ore bodies,produced in the contact zone between the granodiorite porphyry and Qixia formation of Permian and qinglong formation of Triassic carbonate rocks.ore bodies exist in the skarn belt.2.The mineral composition study of ore show that skarn minerals are garnet,diopside,actinolite,epidote,tremolite,chlorite and metal minerals are chalcopyrite,iron ore,magnetite,pyrrhotite,sphalerite,galena.3.The Mineralization style of Copper deposit in the northern mining area of Funiushan is contact metasomatic mineralization dominated.The deposit types in the area are skarn copper polymetallic deposits.4.Metallogenic conditions study show that granodiorite porphyry and carbonate rock(country rock)contact zone has skarn copper mineralization prospecting potential.5.Delineating prospecting targets,On the basis of comprehensive analysis of deposit geological characteristics,combined with geophysical anomaly analysis,is very effective prospecting method.
