Research On The Evaluation To The Development Of Marine Transport Industry In Weihai

Marine transportation is an important part of transport. It is still the main transport means in the national trade now. Weihai is an important member of Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone. Its marine transport industry has developed rapidly in recent years. But compared with the other coastal cities in Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone, the marine transport industry in Weihai is obviously lagging behind. Under the background of China Japan ROK FTA, the marine transport industry in Weihai is bound to usher in the new development opportunities with its special geographical position and industrial advantages. At present, few scholars at home and abroad evaluated the development of marine transport industry starting with the connotation of the industry, or considered the relationship between the indicators.The paper selected the various dimensions that can reflect the state of the industry development and restrict the development of the industry, established a complete index system to evaluate the development of the industry, to put forward suggestions in the future development, according to the characteristics in the progress of marine transportation industry in Weihai. Firstly, the author analyzed the driving force to the development of marine transport industry in Weihai based on the synergetics theory and the Haken model, and identified the development status of the marine transport industry in Weihai based on the industry life cycle theory. And then the paper analyzed the development environment of marine transportation industry in Weihai based on the PESTEL model. According to multi-dimension analysis, the author concluded the connotation and characteristics in the progress of marine transport industry in Weihai. Secondly, the paper designed a preliminary evaluation index system based on the previous analysis and a large number of literatures, used factor analysis and the Cronbach’s alpha to test the validity and reliability of the index system, revised and established index system. At last, the research used the DEMATEL-ANP model to deal with data. By this model, the completely influence matrix and the limit super matrix were obtained. They can describe the network diagram and weight of each index. By those analyses, the paper evaluated the development of marine transport industry, and gave suggestions on the development.The result shows that, the development of marine transport industry in Weihai has its own driving mechanism; the industry comparative advantage is the ordinal variables of the development to the industry. The industry is in the growth stage now. In first-level indicators, the government dimension has the largest integrated effect on the development of the industry, follow it is the personnel dimension, the technical dimension, the capital dimension, and the related industry dimension. The government dimension and the related industry dimension belong to influencing index, others belong to influenced index. In secondary indicators, the progressiveness and cost of the core technology, the competitiveness of the marine enterprises, the level of coordinated development of transportation in Weihai, the profit status of marine enterprises, and the talent mobility have a greater impact on the development of the industry. In the future, Weihai should make full use of the government and market at macro level, and develop resources endowment continuously to enhance the industry comparative advantage at micro level.
