This paper uses SPSS to count net income of farmers of nineteen poor counties in South Xinjiang and analyse its time variation characteristics. Using ArcGIS and spatial statistical analysis methods to analyse the spatial pattern characteristics of net income at the same time. Based on the DMSP/OLS data, using the technology of the night light remote sensing to analyse the night light intensity and its distance expansion and probe the response of net income of farmers to night light. Using MOD13Q1 data and national population to analyse the relationship between net income and NDVI or national population by SPSS and person index for the prediction.The results show that the net income of farmers is from 241.38 yuan of 1985 to 5010.33 yuan of 2013 for South Xinjiang. The net income of framers for counties is increasing. There is a time lag effect of three years for net income. The uneven distribution of income is becoming large and it will be in the opposite direction when the growing trend is largest.There is no stable correlation relationship among the net incomes for counties. Minor hotspots convert to the minor coldspots in a greater speed, while there is a smaller rate between the hotspots and coldspots for converting. There exist transition phenomenon.The night light can reflect the changes of net income in South Xinjiang for a long time. The night light distribution is sparse. There are three centers for the night light distribution. One is Shufu county, one is Yecheng county and Shache county, another one is Hotan county. The night light distributions of the center in Shufu county expand to northeast. The night light distributions of the center in Yecheng county and Shache county expand to north. The night light distributions of the center in Hotan county expand to north and westsouth. The night light has a big significance for seeking oasis and traces of human presence in desert.The net income of farmers are mainly affected by the Han and Uighur population. The correlation coefficient between net income and NDVI is 0.656. The prediction of net income has a high accuracy and the Hotan county has the largest income amont counties with 12492.05 yuan in 2023, while the smallest in Luopu county with 8131.2 yuan.
