The Studies On Problems Of Online Rental Vehicles And Its Regulation Measures In G City

Online booking rental vehicles service is a door-to-door transport service which allows consumers to submit a trip request via internet, and settle the payment mainly online. As the product of cyber era, online booking rental vehicles service earns it popularity by its convenience and personalization. With the dramatic development of the industry, however, more and more problems arise, which has attracted the attention of the government. In this study, transportation authorities, state-owned taxi companies and taxi drivers, online booking rental vehicles service companies and drivers, and passengers of different ages and different occupations of G City have been interviewed and administered questionnaires about the situation of online booking rental vehicles service. The result shows that, firstly, online booking rental vehicles service provides consumers with a more convenient, affordable and highquality way to transportation; secondly, due to the deficiency of the laws, security management of online booking rental vehicles service still has some disadvantages, which brings challenges to the administrative departments; thirdly, the development of online booking rental vehicles service has a great impact on the traditional taxi industry which may be replaced gradually in the future; fourthly, the out-of-order accidents of online booking rental vehicles service makes consumers feel disappointed to some extent. The main administrative problems on online booking rental vehicles service nowadays, is the lack of laws and regulations specialized in online booking rental vehicles service, effective management approaches, guidelines for software companies and the monitoring system to the drivers employed in online booking rental vehicles service. Based on the current administration and its problems of online booking rental vehicles service in G City, we suggest that the laws and regulations should be optimized, the information control of online booking rental vehicles companies should be enhanced, online booking rental vehicles service should be legalized, and this service’s trade union should be formed. The study is to offer the authorities the suggestions on administrative approaches of online booking rental vehicles service.
