As the combination of information technology and finance, P2P(Peer-to-Peer Lending) provides a new way to borrow money for people who need funds, and also provides a convenient investment channels for investors. But as a new financial model, P2 P have not been effectively regulated, after several years of rapid development, a lot of problems have emerged in the industry. Many platforms have closed down. Therefore, study on the risk assessment of P2 P is of great significance. There are few studies on risk assessment of P2 P at present. How to conduct risk assessment of P2 P has become an important subject. This paper takes the risk assessment of P2 P as the research object, the risk assessment model is achieved based on Delphi method and analytic hierarchy process(AHP).First of all, this paper analyzes both related literature at home and abroad and the present situation of domestic P2 P industry. Given the current domestic situation, this paper argues that there are the following types of risk in the industry: liquidity risk, operational risk, credit risk, information transparency risk and the network security risk. Then, according to the types of risk, the author constructs the model by using the Delphi method and analytic hierarchy process. This paper selects 20 platforms for case analysis, and uses Spearman correlation analysis to verify the practicability of the model. Finally, this paper makes suggestions for the future study of the risk assessment model and discusses the prospects of the research in that field.
