Research On The Path Of The Influence On Manufacturing Competitiveness From FDI In Logistics Industry

Our country is one of the most competitive manufacturing countries in the international market. Recently, with the development of manufacturing industry, manufacturing industry has been an important pillar industry of China’s economic development. In2015, China has become the world’s largest manufacturing country. The logistics industry has gradually become the focus of government supporting industry because of its supportive function for the development of manufacturing industry development economic growth.The interactive effect bet ween development of the manufacturing industry and the logistics industry has been reached a consensus in the academic fields in a large scale. Current research mainly concentrates in the impact of the manufacturing industry from the logistics industry applied the qualitative and quantitative methods, barely used the angle of FDI from the logistics industry. Through combing the literatures, such as the subjects focus on manufacturing competitiveness, influence of producer services and the logistics industry on the competitiveness ofthe manufacturing industry, FDI impact on manufacturing industry from producer service industry, the paper chose the exact point of view of the logistics FDI. So far the ability of attracting FDI and investing abroad ranks in the forefront of the world, this paper concentrates in the path of the influence on the manufacturing competitiveness from FDI in logistics industry combining theoretical and empirical analysis.Firstly, the paper analyzes the current development status of the logistics industry in our country with VAR model and co-integration analysis to determine the long-term stable equilibrium relationship of the interaction between the logistics industry and manufacturing industry. The result shows that the rapid expansion of the logistics industry is a vital driving force for the development of the manufacturing industry, however the promotion profit for the logistics industry development from the manufacturing industry is inadequate.Secondly, based on the spillover effects theory of FDI, the paper confirms the influence factors to determine the FDI in logistics industry using regression analysis, at the same time determines the mediator variables for manufacturing industry from the logistics FDI using the mediating effect analysis. Furthermore, the paper searches three influence paths from logistics FDI to manufacturing competitiveness in both scale and efficiency.Finally, according to the path analysis, the paper purposes the targeted policy recommendations according to the bottleneck ofthe logistics industry development. These suggestion focuses both on the FDI attraction of the logistics industry and on the efficiency promotion of the interaction between the logistics industry and the manufacturing industry. Ultimately the manufacturing industry can realize the productivity increase and competitiveness promotion through the expansion, transformation and upgrading of the logistics industry.
