Research On Enterprise Intellectual Capital’s Driving Mechanism

Knowledge economy is coming, which forces the enterprises to accelerate the transformation and upgrading. As a new factor of production, knowledge is making a continuous great contribution to the economic development and it is becoming the power of the times. On behalf of knowledge in enterprises, intellectual capital(IC) is a self-organization, made from the own development of enterprise’s wisdom. Self-organization theory says the driving mechanism of this kind of organization lies in itself and it is the order parameter. So in this paper we integrate the self-organization theory into intellectual capital theory, and build a mathematical model to detect the order parameters. And the goal of this paper is to remind the managers that to do right things, they should notice what is the key factor to the development of IC, and then adjust the structure of IC to level up intellectual capital.First, this paper divides IC into human capital, internal structural capital and external relational capital through the literature review. While, we sort out the development of self-organization theory in chronological order and put forward that IC meets the prerequisites of self-organized movement and the driving mechanism comes from the order parameters of itself. And then, based on Haken model, this paper constructs an evolution model of IC and according to the results of previous researches, an index system is built to test IC in sample enterprises. We put the scores of IC into the model to identify. As last, according to the principles of index selection, we collect 102 listed enterprises’3-year-data from 2012 to 2014 as samples. The result proves that (1) from 2012 to 2014, the order parameters of IC among total samples are structural capital and relational capital. Human capital has a negative impact on the capital structure, and a positive impact on the relational capital. And this shows that the lack of human capital stock is the key reason that disturbs the evolution of IC. (2) from 2012 to 2014, the scores of synergy among sample enterprises are in a high level, which means that the development of IC system is in a lower level. While, that there is a deep gap between different industries, means there is an uneven distribution among industries in IC. (3) there is no order parameter in pharmaceutical manufacturing, which means there is a lower emphasis on IC in this industry. (4) the order parameter in computers, communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry is structural capital and relational capital has a positive impact on structural capital. That shows the development of IC comes from the mutually reinforcement of structural capital and relational capital and human capital has a tiny effect on IC’s evolution.Then we can detect that during the transformation and upgrading, the IC system’s development is unstable. And enterprises should increase the stock of human capital and undergo the pain that the primitive accumulation of IC brings. Then, the development level will upgrade and the enterprises’value can be reflected in the markets.
