Under the background of energy shortage and environmental pollution, solar photovoltaic power generation has become a focus on and development of the industry in our country because of its characteristics such as clean, safe, convenient, and led to the rapid expansion of the photovoltaic industry. However, behind the rapid expansion, it exposed problems one by one in the development of photovoltaic industry. In recent years, the growing rapid of global PV market demand slows down, trade protectionism is rampant, photovoltaic industry developed uncoordinated, market competition is disorderly, and product market over-reliance on external demand and other multiple factors led to the Chinese PV enterprises generally operating difficulties, the photovoltaic industry is facing the grim situation.The competitiveness of enterprises is an important carrier of corporate sustainability, while listed company is a typical representative of the enterprise. Studying influencing factors, the problems and solutions of photovoltaic industry listed companies, as well as the competitiveness analysis and evaluation mode of the photovoltaic industry listed companies have important theoretical and practical significance. It will contribute to the sustainable development of China’s PV industry.Firstly, this paper aims at China’s photovoltaic industry listed companies, taking the competitiveness of enterprises as the goal orientation, studying the analysis and evaluation of competitiveness. At the same time, describing the relevant theories about competitiveness of enterprises, analyzing the main factors of the competitiveness of enterprises, summing and comparing a variety of advantages and disadvantages of enterprise competitiveness evaluation methods. Secondly, according to the development of global photovoltaic industry, China’s photovoltaic industry and listed companies in China’s photovoltaic. We can obtained that global photovoltaic industry and China’s photovoltaic industry are developing rapidly, though, it is still dependent on national policies and subsidies, the business situation of China’s photovoltaic industry Listed Companies has improved, but the profitability and business level still need to be improved conclusions. Through SWOT-PEST analysis matrix, this paper summarizes the main problems about China’s photovoltaic business and listed companies in competitiveness. Thirdly, starting from the influencing factors of the competitiveness, this paper sets up competitiveness evaluation index system of photovoltaic industry listed companies, elaborates the basic principle of BP neural network and the basic steps of BP neural network evaluation method, and constructs competitiveness evaluation model of China’s photovoltaic listed companies based on the BP neural network. Finally, on this basis, it selects 18 listed PV companies which are representative, using its associated index data in 2014, determining the comprehensive evaluation results by entropy method and gray correlation analysis, applying the BP neural network for simulation training and testing, We draw the conclusions that the competitiveness of China’s photovoltaic industry listed companies is just general, and it needs to be improved. Based on evaluation results, this paper puts forward policy recommendations to increase the competition ability of China’s PV listed companies.
