The enhancement of work interdependence and the popularity of the team word all depend on the behavior of employees to provide mutual assistance. Without the mutual help of the employees, an organization cannot play an advantage as a team. How to increase the staff’s helping behavior through the implementation of reasonable and effective leadership behavior is the key for the organization to maintain sustainable competitive advantage. Through the discussion of this study, I hope to build the relationship model of self-sacrificial leadership and employee helping behavior, and clear the internal mechanism about the affect of self sacrificing leadership on employees helping behavior. And put forward some constructive suggestions to enhance the employees helping behavior from the view of traditionality and supervisor-subordinate guanxi, identification with leader.This research is based on the literature review of previous studies, and introduces separately existing research theory of self-sacrificial leadership, traditionality,supervisor-subordinate guanxi, identification with leader, helping behavior. Based on this, the research framework and assumptions of this paper are presented. The sample data of this research were obtained by online electronic questionnaire, and then use the software tools such as SPSS and AMOS to analyze the data through descriptive analysis,correlation analysis and regression analysis. The results of this research are as follows:(1) self-sacrificial leadership positively influences employees’ helping behavior;(2) the identification with leader plays a mediation role between self-sacrificial leadership and helping behavior of employees;(3) traditionality can positively regulate the positive relationship between self-sacrificial leadership and identification with leader, that is to say, the employees of the traditional degree are higher, stronger the positive relationship leadership between self-sacrificial leadership and identification with leader;(4)supervisor-subordinate guanxi negatively regulate the positive relationship between self-sacrificial leadership and identification with leader. That is to say, when supervisor-subordinate guanxi is better, the positive relationship between self-sacrificial leadership and identification with leader will increasingly be weak.The innovation points of this research are as following:(1) this study extends the research about employee helping behavior as the antecedent variables, from the point ofview of leadership behavior constructs the relationship model between self-sacrificial leadership and helping behavior and through empirical study proves that the self-sacrificial leadership has a significant positive effect to staff helping behavior;(2)In Chinese background which has the strong confucianism emphasizing the collective interests above personal interests, the research of self-sacrificial leadership is still in its infancy, this study considers traditionality and supervisor-subordinate guanxi, which are the two representative factors of the Chinese culture that, and discuss the regulatory role of the two factors acting on the mechanism that self-sacrificial leadership promoting identification with leader, so this study enriches the theory framework of self-sacrificial leadership under the background of Chinese culture and enhances the Chinese situational characteristics;(3) The study found that identification with leader plays an intermediary role in the above process, and explained the inherent mechanism that self-sacrificial leadership improve employee helping behavior, promoted the study of the mechanism of self-sacrificial leadership influence.
