Analysis Of International Competitiveness Of Wooden Forestry Products Based On Analysis Of DEA

With the rapid development of the international trade of China, the trade of wooden forestry products occupies a more important role in the world economy and trade. China is one of the main manufacturer of wooden forestry products in the wood, meanwhile, the consumption in China is also considerable, every year, the value of import and export of wooden forestry products is up to tens billions dollars, furthermore, competition between countries become fiercer, it is important to investigate the international competitiveness of the wooden forestry products.According to the causation theory of the international competitiveness,20 countries which have large value of import and export of wooden forestry products or frequent trade with China are selected as the research objects, and the international competitiveness of these countries is then analyzed using the data envelopment analysis DEA.In this paper, the current situation of the trade of wooden forestry products is firstly analyzed, and then, assessment indicator system is established according to natural resource, human resource, capital, education, management and realization in the market. The international competitiveness of the wooden forestry products of all these 20 countries is analyzed using the CCR model of data envelopment analysis. The super efficiency DEA is used to make a further analysis the countries whose front surface efficiency value is equal to 1, and the Tobit regression model is established according to the efficiency value.The results show that, the international competitiveness of wooden forestry products of China lie in the moderate levels, and is effected by Per Capita GDP, cargo handling capacity and labor cost of the manufacture. There are also some disadvantages such as inputs and outputs.
