Transportation accidents will not only bring economic losses, environmental pollution and casualties, but also adversely affect the corporatereputation. What transportation of products facing is the poor services, customer complaints and the growing rate of order returned.Certainly, these will lead to a cost increase of a company.Raw materials of M company are some hazardous materials such asstyrene, butadiene and acrylonitrile. Final products are plastic goods include ABSresin(Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer), AS resin (acrylonitritrile-styrene resin), PS resin (polystyrene) and PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate).For enterprises, a favorable guarantee to enhance the competitiveness is with both lower raw materials costs and higher quality. At present, fluctuations of international oil prices lead to a downward trend of raw material prices. Most raw material sare devalued on the way before delivery. The devaluation precedes the risk of negative profit. At the same time, facing much fiercer competition, companies have to maintain much better quality and service. Therefore, with premise of lower cost and better service, it is a priority to gain low cost of raw materials, safe transportation and improvement of services on transportation..Based on survey of raw materials and products transportation of M company, the paper raises seven issues in transportation. And combined with overseas practices of inland waterway transportation, this paper puts forward some suggestions such as heighten waterway transportation, develop system of information feedback, set up coordination department, and build an information system and third-party rate system.This paper aims to explore a reasonable way to enhance the safety and effectiveness of transportation, improve customer satisfaction, soas to reduce the overall cost, and enhance the corporate reputation. |
