Relationship Among Entrepreneurial Leadership, Ambidextrous Innovation And New Venture Growth

With the formation of mass entrepreneurship and innovation, entrepreneurial activities become more and more dynamic all over the country and new ventures are constantly emerging. In contrast, new ventures’ death-rate remains high, so it is urgent to explore the key factors affecting the growth of new ventures in theory. Due to the increasingly intense competition and fast-changing environment, more and more entrepreneurs realize their own leadership style and leadership skills is very important for the healthy growth of new ventures. So many enterprises gain the sustainable competitive advantage of the organization through the strengthening of entrepreneurial leadership.Entrepreneurial leadership is the core element to gain sustained competitive advantage for new venture and it has an important influence on new venture performance, but an in-depth exploration of its specific working mechanism still lacks in previous research. This paper introduces the perspective of ambidextrous innovation and based on literature review and theoretical analysis, it constructs a research model on the relationship among entrepreneurial leadership, ambidextrous innovation and new venture performance, and verified in the subsequent empirical analysis.Specifically, this paper uses SPSS 16.0 and AMOS 17.0 for descriptive statistical analysis, Cronbach’s a reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis and confirmation factor analysis on 164 new enterprises’ figures. Then it uses the structural equation model to test the validity of the conceptual model and the significance on each Hypothesis. The empirical results show that:(1)the overall research model including Entrepreneurial leadership, ambidextrous innovation and new venture performance has good fitting;(2)Entrepreneurial leadership has significant positive effect on exploratory innovation and exploitative innovation;(3)Exploratory innovation and exploitative innovation have significant positive effect on new venture performance;(4)Entrepreneurial leadership has significant indirect effect on new venture performance through ambidextrous innovation.Finally it is conclusions and discussion part. The conclusions of entire article are summarized. Besides, research methods and conclusion of the study were discussed. Based on the in-depth discussion of the conclusions, the author brings forward the proposals of the study from multiple perspectives for organizations to improve innovation, creativity and the skill of entrepreneurial leadership and provides some reference opinions for the related research in the future.
