After the reform and opening-up, China has undergone enormous changes. In terms of economic, GDP continued to grow rapidly, and the national quality of life has been greatly improved. However, the income gap began to emerge and the trend toward a serious development at the same time. Our country is a typical dual structure, urban and rural development imbalance has become an important factor restricting balanced economic development and attracted more and more attention of economists. In the urban-rural gap, the income gap between urban and rural residents is the most prominent issues. Data show that, urban-rural income ratio has risen every year since 21st century, and it has reached 3.33:1 in 2009. At present, the study of the income gap between urban and rural residents is more and more, but the study based on a regional perspective to explore this issue is rare. Studying the gap of residents in Regional Perspective not only provides a new theoretical perspective for the development China’s economic development, but also provides a new theoretical basis for regional policy. Therefore, By starting from a regional perspective and using econometric models, the analysis of regional factors that affect the income gap has important significance. In this paper, we use a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis, theoretical and empirical analysis of research methods. Qualitative analysis is the nature of our country income gap analysis and quantitative analysis by in-depth analysis; empirical part econometric methods of urban-rural income gap regression model. Text is divided into six parts. The first chapter is the introduction that describes of the background and significance after the research status of domestic and foreign income gap problem, influencing factors were summarized, and presented their research contents, methods, innovation and deficiencies; The second chapter is the theoretical analysis, we summarized the study of China’s income gap between the various theories and methods, and the combined income gap between urban and regional issues of economic theory, regional economics neoclassical growth theory, inverted U-shaped hypothesis theory up; the third, according to the order of time and space analysis of the impact of the change process and the income gap between urban and rural residents income gap between urban and rural areas of economy, politics, society and so on. Chapter IV of the status quo of the income gap between urban and rural residents empirical analysis, linear regression based on panel data of 31 provinces and cities, draw geographical factors, resource endowments, local factors, urban gravity, free trade and other five factors for the income gap between urban and rural residents the impact, and analyzes the factors affecting the income gap between urban and rural residents, are the focus of this article. That factors in accordance with Chapter V of the status quo and regional income disparities, regional policy recommendations proposed adjustment of China’s urban and rural incomes. Chapter VI, is the income gap between urban and rural residents of the Future.Based on the regional perspective study area of 31 provinces (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions) of indicators from 2004 to 2013. by using econometric methods the regression data model, the income gap between urban and rural residents of influence factor is studied. The empirical results based on various factors make the appropriate analysis, it concluded:Geographical factors increase one percentage point would reduce 0.013876 percent of the income gap between urban and rural residents; Local factors increase one percentage point, the income gap between urban and rural residents to improve 1.041874 percentage points; Resource endowment increase one percentage point, the income gap between urban and rural residents increased correspondingly 0.020847 percent; Urban gravitational increase one percentage point would increases 0.012676 percent of the income gap between urban and rural residents; Foreign trade increased by one percentage point each, urban and rural residents the income gap correspondingly reduce 0.039661 percent.Possible innovation of this paper is in the study of the income gap between urban and rural residents of the regional factors, according to the theory, we selecte five factors such as geography, natural resources, local factors, urban gravitation, foreign trade, and the various factors select the appropriate indicators. Among them, the geography and resource endowments mainly due to location theory, but based on local factors inverted U hypothesis, selected with the income gap is closely related to economic indicators, these three factors are static factors; urban gravitational model is based on gravity, reflect interactive regional provinces inside the region, and foreign trade is reflected in the interaction mechanism outside the region, in fact, these two factors dynamic factors. Through 31 provinces and nearly 10 years of panel data regression contact, static factors region and regional economic dynamics between the organic integration of the region to achieve the influencing factors. There are still some deficiencies of this article:Firstly, the urban-rural gap measure is only in respect of the disposable income of urban residents and the net income of rural residents is analyzed regional differences in economic and other aspects of the internal structure is not considered, and on the integration path analysis is not precise enough, and comprehensive analysis is not enough. Secondly, a number of factors and indicators do not fully refinement and decomposition. Although the overall effect has been described, but I failed to do so penetrating, and the lack of data for some indicators and deeper analysis at the same time.
