Research On Inventory Optimization For Medical Consumables In Xi’an ZY Hospital

The Xi’an ZY hospital is a three level of first-class hospital, national demonstrated hospital, medical insurance designated hospital that has complete clinical departments, obcurrent medical talents, and integrate medical treatment, teaching and research. With the development of science and technology of medicine and the fully overlay of medical insurance, the number of patients in the hospital continuing increase, at the same time, the amount of usage of medical consumables continuing increase. According to the usage and value, medical consumables can be divided as low value medical consumables and high value medical consumables. Because of the lack of appropriate inventory measure, the phenomenon of overstorage and out of otorage always happens, which disturb the medical operation. Thus, establish the inventory optimization model of medical consumables and solve, give the inventory optimization plans have become an improtent problem. The major work and achievements of this paper are as follows.Analyze the inventory actuality of low value medical consumables and high value medical consumables of Xi’an ZY hospital, and summarize the shortage of the inventory actuality of medical consumables. Give the classification of low value medical consumables, choose one typical consumable from each kind, according to the countsheet, and analyze the curve of inventory state. The result shows that the inventory of low value medical consumables is lack of safety stock, settled purchasing cycle, and reasonable purchase quantity. Give the classification of high value medical consumables, choose one typical consumable from each kind, according to the countsheet, and analyze the curve of inventory state. The result shows that the inventory of high value medical consumables is lack of safety stock and purchase too many times.According to the shortage of the inventory actuality of low value medical consumables and high value medical consumables, establish the inventory optimization model of medical consumables and solve, give the inventory optimization plans. For low value medical consumables, establish the EOQ model with safety stock, solve the model and optimize the inventory of low value medical consumables, give the inventory optimization plan. The result shows that the inventory plan can avoid the lack of safety stock, settled purchasing cycle, and reasonable purchase quantity of low value medical consumables. For high value medical consumables, establish the inventory model with random demand, solve the model and optimize the inventory of high value medical consumables, give the inventory optimization plan.The result shows that the inventory plan can avoid the lack of safety stock and purchase too many times of high value medical consumables.
