Study On The Relationship Between Degree And Performance Of Manufacturing Servitization In Zhejiang Province

During the new normal state of economic growth slowdown, rising production costs, resource and environmental restriction, "Zhejiang manufacturing" is faced with unprecedented difficulties. In order to maintain the long-term stability in macroeconomic growth, build a resource-conserving and environmentally friendly society, manufacturing industry is in urgent of transformation and upgrading.Manufacturing servitization is a rapid development of industry convergence in order to meet the diversified demand of customers to realize manufacturing customized, extend the value chain to realize high value-added products, deal with the resource constraints to realize environmental protection. Through servitization the developed countries have realized transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry: enhance the control on the upstream and downstream value chain, increase the added value of products and the profitability of the enterprise, consolidated and strengthened the position of the world manufacturing powerhouse. O ur province has industrial base and external demand of manufacturing servitization such as good manufacturing base, broad consumer market at home and abroad, the world first-class Internet companies. The export-oriented economic characteristics is also good for our province manufacturing use developed countries experience for reference to create good conditions of servitization.Manufacturing servitization can be divided into two aspects, input servitization and output servitization. Previous studies tend to focus on one aspect, more theoretical research and less empirical research. For manufacturing servitization research mostly confined to the field of management, research focused on theoretical analysis such as the definition, theoretical basis, influencing factors and its stages, less use quantitative research to study the degree of servitization and correlation between servitization and manufacturing performance.Perspective based on the input servitization, use Zhejiang province 2002-2010 input-output table of 42 department data, calculate the industry dependence coefficient of manufacturing industry segment of the producer services approximately substitute input servitization level, and construct a static panel data model to analyze the relationship between the input servitization and manufacturing industry as a whole and divisions. Results show that:(1) Input servitization level in zhejiang province in 2002 was 12.37%, showing a upward trend after fall first, 2010 was 11.11%, still below 2002 level, economic development still largely depend on the material investment to promote;(2) according to the resource intensity, labor intensive industry servitization level higher than the capital- intensive industry, low technology industry servitization level is higher than high technology industry;(3) the neutral technical progress conditions, according to the production function extension model, the coefficient of input servitization and manufacturing labor productivity is positive, but not significantly;(4) the technological non-neutrality progress conditions, beyond the logarithm model shows that, input servitization leads both capital and labor saving technical progress;(5) for different types of manufacturing departments labor productivity improvements vary, capital- intensive industries higher than labor-intensive industries, and the effect between high technology industries and low technology industries is not obvious.Aspect of output servitization, consider the availability of the data, selected 152 manufacturing enterprises from Zhejiang province as sample. The sample comes from Shanghai stock exchange and Shenzhen stock exchange main board listed, according to the China securities regulatory commission "industry classification guidance of listed companies" belongs to the manufacturing and has service characteristics. Use the number of services in the manufacturing industry as an alternative variable of servitization level, also carries on the regression analysis using cross-section data from manufacturing enterprises in 2014. Study found that:(1) the level of output servitization of manufacturing enterprises in Zhejiang province is not high, the number of service provided only 2.69, quite a number of manufacturing enterprises just providing one kind of service such as selling;(2) the performance and output servitization of manufacturing enterprise have a inverted "U" shaped relationship obviously, indicates that the performance of manufacturing enterprises in Zhejiang province decline after rising first in the process of output servitization. But this is not to say the level of output servitization of Zhejiang manufacturing industry has already very high, because of the present stage of Zhejiang manufacturing does not have the ability to provide more high quality service.According to the research conclusions and the specific situation of Zhejiang manufacturing industry, put forward policy suggestions from both the government and the enterprise two aspects.
