| Over the past decades of development, the role of farmers’ professional cooperatives has gradually become obvious and gained attention of various parties involved in agriculture. The unique characteristics of farmers’professional cooperatives have made farmers’ professional cooperatives a favorable platform for various parties to serve farmers, thus accelerating the promotion of new agricultural science and techniques, intimating the relationship between farmers and agricultural market, promoting farmers’ competitive awareness and power in the increasingly fierce market economic and greatly helping government departments involved in agriculture better manage agricultural production, increase farmers’ income and improve farmers’ living standards.Hanshou County is a large agricultural county in Hunan Province, enjoying the reputation of "a small barn of Hunan Province" and an important "land flowing with milk and honey." Farmers’ professional cooperatives have a long development history in the county. Against the backdrop of flourishing development of farmers’ professional cooperatives. Hanshou County has also made sustainable progress and achieved certain social and economic benefits in developing its farmers’ professional cooperatives. However, there are some bottlenecks impeding the further development of its farmers’ professional cooperatives, which namely include lack of understanding of farmers’professional cooperatives, small operational scale of farmers’ professional cooperatives, lack of market competition and sustainable development momentum, low motivation of the incomplete organization, imperfect treatment structure and management system, prominent financing problems and difficult implementation of financing policies. Adopting the research strategy of putting forward problems, analyzing problems and solving problems, this paper puts forward corresponding solutions to problems currently existing in farmers’ professional cooperatives in Hanshou County based on the first hand data gained through field investigation, successful experiences of farmers’ professional cooperatives both home and abroad and theories related to economic management. The author hopes that, in the practical operation of farmers’ professional cooperatives, various parties can fully learn the status quo of farmers’ professional cooperatives in Hanshou County and actively adopt the countermeasures put forward in this research to promote the sound and steady development of farmers’ professional cooperatives in Hanshou County. |
