The Research On PMA Model Based Approach For Little-micro IT Enterprises’ Project Management

It is deeply concerned by the managers in small-scale IT enterprises that how to find a proper and efficient management method which aimed at the characteristics of the enterprise itself. Bases on the PMBOK,this paper focuses on the characteristics of the domestic small-scale enterprises and the problems that happened during the project developing process and solution. The PMA(Project Management Agent) mode is put forward in the paper, for the project development of domestic small-scale enterprises. In the paper, we discussed the concept of PMA and its organization structure, management process as well as its contributions. This mode has been applied into several project management practices. And it is demonstrated that this mode could bring a better financial and social benefits to the enterprises through practical cases.The main accomplished work in the paper includes:1) Summarized the characteristics of the present small-scale IT enterprise’s and existing problems, the system of IT project management and its process; and the present PMO(Project Management Office)project management pattern which widely used in large and medium-sized enterprises.2) Based on the PMA mode, put forward its concept, organization structure, operating environment, as well as the definition of the PMA project manager role of small-sized IT enterprise.3) Batting around the project management process for PMA as a project management master4) Discusses some management problems in the process of project development for PMA as a project management master;5) Applied the IT project management methodology and PMA mode theory to the project management in small-sized enterprises and discussed the contributions of PMA for the enterprise project management from three aspects through three particular cases.The theoretical innovations in the paper are:1)According to the characteristics of small-sized IT enterprise and the existing problems, the project management mode is put forward based on PMA, and used to guide practical project development got the best of economic and social effect.2)Put forward the concept of the PMA and it’s duty; the organizational design of PMA and it’s working environment; as well as the implementing process on PMA;3) Discussed the key factors affected the selection of enterprise project development mode namely enterprise strategic objectives, enterprise’s human resources, culture and information level;4)Proposed the actor mode of PMA project master and discussed the problem in project management.The innovation can be expressed in following practices:1) PMA successfully realized the project development of a specific case “The Intelligence information system for family support of old age by one-key –call” in operational level and obtained good financial and social benefits for the enterprises2)PMA successfully realized the project development of a specific case “the charging system of central air-conditioning” in management level, and provided the management of the project development process for weakly enterprises.3)PMA successfully help the enterprise decide the project development of a specific case “the wireless meter reading system of long-distance electric power” in decision level and got the competition advantageThe research study in this paper provides an efficient way to assist the project management in small-scale enterprise.
