Benefit Comprehensive Evaluation Of Mountainous City Land Use

Land is a basic resource for human survival. Currently, our country is in the process of rapid urbanization, most of the cities are in the stage of rapid expansion and rapid economic development, which is associated with the demand for land. However, due to the scarcity and fixity of land and the vulnerability of land ecological environment, the blind expansion of land and pursue the economic benefit is both not conducive to the sustainable use of land and not conducive to the sustainable development of cities. Therefore, a reasonable use of land is the basic guarantee for the city’s economic development. Only by the pursuit of the comprehensive benefit of land use can we achieve sustainable and coordinated development of land.Chongqing is the only municipality in western China, it is a typical mountain city. The available urban land resources of mountainous city are scarcer than plain city, urban construction and operation is more difficult. So evaluating the integrated benefits of mountainous city’s land use is more significant for the development of city and land. The main city of Chongqing is the core area of economic, making efficient and rational use of the main city’s urban land is the insurance for economic development.This paper reviews the relative research achievements on land use. Based on the utilization of mountainous city’s land, analyzed the study area’s land status quo from land-use types, land-use concentration and land use diversity; use order weighted averaging to select evaluation criteria, building the city’s comprehensive land-use benefits evaluation system from the economic, social and ecological aspects, used AHP and entropy method to determine the value of each index weight, analyzed the comprehensive land-use benefits of Chongqing’ main city in 2008 and 2013; used coordination degree to evaluate the coordination degree of economic subsystem, social subsystem and ecological benefits subsystem in 2013.According to statistical data and information, the evaluation results show that from 2008 to 2013, the overall efficiency of urban land use of the main city of Chongqing, is on the rise, economic index increased significantly, followed by environmental benefits index, the social index’s increasing is not obvious. Although the overall coordination of the use of the land is good, but there is a big gap between the target value and the social and ecological benefits’ coordination degree. For system’s problems, this study proposed suggestions to help improve the overall efficiency of urban land use.
