Technology Shocks And Economic Fluctuations In Our Country

As science and technology has developed rapidly, which result in New scientific revolution and technology revolution. According to statistics, scientific and technological achievements achieved in nearly thirty years more than the sum of the past two thousand years. In face of the overall situation of the economic and technology development, the major countries devote to improving their capacity of independent innovation, which is a key measure to promote economic development. However, with the expanding of economic globalization, international technology spillovers as another way to promote technology progress become more and more importance for countries, especially for developing countries. The developed countries start the industrial revolution early, so they have the ability and enough money for R&D; The developing countries start their industrialization late, on the one hand, they have no enough funds for R&D, on the other hand, they are lack of enough human capital, accumulated knowledge and so on for R&D, so technological progress in developing countries mainly depend on transfer, imitation, absorpt technology from developed countries, in other words, technological progress in developing countries mainly depend on technology spillovers from other countries. So it has great realistic significance to study various channel of international technology spillover affect on the economy in our country.This paper, based on the trade data from 1992 to 2012, using ADF test, Johansen cointegration test econometrics, aims to empirically analyzes the influence of embodied spillovers channels which represented by FDI with import and disembodied spillovers channel which represented by patent and information on economic fluctuations in our country. It is found that import spillover will accelerate economic fluctuation in china; communication spillover, Patent technology spillover, FDI technology spillover and Domestic technology innovation can reduce China?s economic fluctuation, what?s more, the impact from embodied spillovers channel is bigger than disembodied spillovers channel on China?s economic fluctuation, so we should pay attention to disembodied spillovers channel.
