After our country introduces the idea of circular economy in the 1990 s, research on circular economy continuous deeply, the catering industry as one of the main industry of the third industry has become the focus of the research on circular economy theory. The applicant of circular economy is a necessary means to change the traditional mode of the catering industry and a necessary way to seek new point of economic growth.This study is carried out mainly from the following aspects:Firstly, through analyzing the related literatures, we found that the studies on the circular economy development mode of the catering industry are very few. At the same time, this part briefly introduced the research content, the research methods and the main innovation points of this article.Secondly, in this part, my paper mainly introduces the concept of catering industry, circular economy and circular economy development mode. In the next place my paper analysis the circular economy theory of cleaner production and economic theory. Finally my paper introduces the typical models of the development of circular economy.Thirdly, in this part, my paper mainly analysis the development of the catering industry, arriving at a conclusion of that circular economy is the inevitable choice for sustainable development of the catering industry. In the next place my paper refers to two circular economy development modes, which includes the consumption type and circle type. Finally, the use of rough set theory on the effectiveness of the catering industry development of circular economy is evaluated, and in my paper, I put forward the measures to apply the circular economy to the development of the catering industry from the catering enterprises and government angle.
