| With the gradual opening up of China‘s financial industry, the development of intermediary business environment is changing, the traditional business profitable balance decreases, and the development of intermediary business for commercial banks has provided a new profit growth point. At present, most commercial banks have launched their intermediary business, but there have been many problems in operation, which cut down its due role of intermediary business. Therefore, we need intermediary business summary of the developed countries and China’s development of intermediary business to sort out the situation. On this basis, we choose typical commercial banks such as China Citic Bank as a case to study the development strategies of China’s commercial banks’ intermediary business.The paper is consist of 5 chapters. Chapter 1 shows the background and significance of the research and introduces the frame and methods of the research. In the end of chapter 1, the author recommends what is intermediary business for commercial banks and makes a classification of intermediary business. In chapter 2, the author firstly introduced the general situation of advanced countries’ intermediary business development and their highlights. Then he picks the US, the UK, Germany, and France as examples to analyze their policy environment, developing situation and market characteristics. Chapter 3 discusses the intermediary business development of domestic commercial banks. The author makes a contrast between China’s and advanced countries’ commercial bank intermediary business and discusses some hot issues. The article also analyze the strength, weakness, opportunity and threaten of domestic commercial bank intermediary business. Chapter 4 introduces the development of China Citic Bank intermediary business, includes current situation and general operation. The author also gives a developing suggestion. In chapter 5, the author gives developing suggestions of domestic bank intermediary business. |
