With the social and economic development and continuous improvement of living standards, people’s requirements of frozen foods, primary agricultural goods and medicine in the availability, security, and internal quality, continue to increase. Due to the special nature of the cold chain that products needs to be stored in a particular low temperature environment and the fact that raw materials and finished products may deteriorate in this period, the problem of production scheduling in the cold chain enterprise plays a very important role in realization of the goals and optimization of the entire supply chain. The raw materials in the cold chain enterprises are different from the materials in other enterprises. They will deteriorate, leading to reduction in the number and the quality. The procurement time difference will lead to different amount of purchases, and then affect procurement net costs. Therefore, the production scheduling and optimization becomes a key aspect in the cold chain enterprises with problems of raw materials procurement and it plays a crucial role in the healthy development of enterprises. The author firstly summarizes the researches at home and abroad about the production scheduling in cold chain enterprises and then analyzes the shortcomings of the current research. On this basis, the author determines the research content in the thesis. The author analyzes the lifecycle functions of supply chain, cold chain, and raw materials in cold chain as well as relevant theories of production scheduling. On the condition that raw materials will not deteriorate in one scheduling cycle, the prices may differ according to the procurement of raw materials in different time. The author assumes that the amount of the procurement of raw materials in each order is certain, setting the minimal total cost including inventory cost and purchase cost as the target, the best purchase time and the processing sequence as decision-making variables to put forward resource scheduling model in cold chain enterprises and to offer corresponding optimization algorithms. The raw materials are ready in the initial time of scheduling, but they will deteriorate between the initial time and starting time, resulting in the cost of deterioration. Setting the minimal total cost of deterioration as the target and the processing sequence as decision-making variable, the author constructs corresponding mathematical models, presents the simulated annealing algorithm and verifies the performance of the algorithm by examples and experimental data. Finally, the author summarizes the thesis and puts forward relevant recommendations for subsequent study.
