Study On The Relationships Between Environmental Management, Environmental Performance And Financial Performance Of The Chemical Enterprises

Enterprise is an economic organization for the purpose of profit, it pursuits the maximum benefits, but in the pursuit of profit at the same time, it neglects environmental protection. Especially in recent years, environmental pollution accident has been caused by many chemical enterprises. So, if the level of environmental management of chemical enterprises can improve the level of environment performance? Can it get a better profit as well as the environmental protection getting better? Meanwhile, is it reflected in the same year or laggeed few years? It is key research of the paper.In this paper, the research of relationships between environmental management, environmental performance and financial performance of the chemical enterprise is based on the structural equation model. Firstly, I design the qualitative index system of environmental management, environmental performance and financial performance of the chemical enterprise according to comprehensive combing the related theory, the foreign research on current situation and the research on status abroad, at the same time, using the factor analysis on the indexes selection based on qualitative design put forward the research hypotheses, and construct the structural equation to study the relationship between the three the models; then I analyze the present situation, and put forward a series of problems according to the index system of the qualitative design of the selected 60 chemical enterprises of environmental management, environmental performance and financial performance; finally, in order to solve the problem, I study on the relationships between the three indexes and the whole according to the index of quantitative screening, the proposed research hypotheses and structural equation model.In this paper, through the research on the relationships of environmental management, environmental performance and financial performance in chemical enterprise, I draw three main conclusions:(1) with the state of the importance of environmental protection, the chemical enterprises pay more attention to environmental protection, at the same time the environmental performance level will continue to rise; (2) the chemical enterprises improve the level of environmental management, although the financial performance will decline the same year, it is not an absolute decline, as the financial performance levels will rise the later year, but the relationship between the above is not regular; (3) as the improvement of the level of environmental performance in chemical enterprises,the levels of financial performance will increase accordingly, while the financial performance level will drop in the following year, but the relationship between this two is not frequent.
