Empirical Study On Influencing Factors Of The Performance Of Electronic And Information Industry Of China Region

Electronic and information industry is the high permeability industry and the key link to realize mode transforming of economic development. Although electronic information industry currently has a fairly large scale, but the overall competitiveness is not strong, industrial structure is irrational, industry performance is low. So what factors affect the performance of electronic information industry in China? The empirical study is launched in order to solve this problem. The existing researches of information industry are mainly about the concept of information industry, information industry competitiveness and measure, information industry development model, information industry development strategy, information industry development law, information industry integration and the relationship between information industry and economic development. However, there are few empirical researches on the influence factors of electronic information industry performance in China. There are many literatures about the influence factors of industry performance. But most of them are in industrial and other traditional industry. Specialized researches on the influence factor of electronic information industry performance are very little. Information industry is a high permeability and knowledge intensive industry. There is a certain difference between information industry and industrial industry. So do these factors have the same effect on performance of information industry? In addition, are there other factors ignored besides these factors?Based on the 2004-2010 provincial electronic information industry panel data, this study does empirical research on the causes of the performance of the electronic information industry in China, trying to clarify the internal mechanism of the influencing factors of the electronic information industry performance. First of all, this study reviews the relevant basic theory and literature of the electronic information industry, industry performance, market structure, property right structure and industry innovation, in order to fully understand its connotation and inherent logic relationship. Secondly, we summarize the related literature at home and abroad, put forward the research model of this study, and clear the variable measurement and the method which to process the data. The above is prepareing for the next research of the relationship between the variables. Again, the empirical analysis is divided into four parts. First, to analyze the overall performance of electronic and information industry of China. Second, to analyze market structure and property right structure how to influence the performance of electronic and information industry. Third, to analyze market structure and property right structure how to influence industry innovation. Fourth, to explore the intermediary role of industry innovation between market structure and the performance of electronic and information industry. Finally, according the study conclusion, putting forward the suggestions.This empirical research found that the share of state ownership structure, export, industry innovation, thinteraction of the share of state ownership structure and competition, thinteraction of the share of state ownership structure and capital intensity have huge effects to the electronic and information industry performance between regions.First, the results showed that the share of state ownership structure not only have effects on the performance of electronic and information industry, but also as regulating variable to play a regulatory role of the performance of electronic and information industry.Second, It also showed that export have the negative effects on the performance of electronic and information industry, but the main effect of market factors such as competition, capital intensity, scale on the performance of electronic and information industry was not significant.Third, The competition and capital intensity produce a good performance when the share of state ownership was hign,and produce a poor per formance when the share of state ownership was low. Fourth, competition and scale has a significant role in promoting industry innovation.Fifth, industry innovation not only have effects on the performance of electronic and information industry, but also as intervening variable to play a intermediary role between competition and the performance of electronic and information industry.Finally, the article put forward the relevant measures and suggestions.
