With the development of economic globalization and informatization,the city as a complex and open system, its development is closely connected with other area of the contact. Contact and embodies the city attracted or rely on the city to surrounding areas, the greater the contact area between cities in intensity, more conducive to improve the urban density, promote the formation of urban agglomerations. Regional spatial relation and spatial interaction becomes a focus in the study of regional geography, economic geography and so on, More and more scholars through the structure features of urban networks to reveal the level of urban system and its structure.However, the modern communication facilities and advanced conditions such as traffic network is city contact support, the flow of elements such as population, information, resources and economic ties is the main content of it. Railway transportation as an important part of city to contact, it is not only for the population of the city, the flow of goods, shows more complex spatial network structure.As China’s first big economic zone as well as the biggest area of opening up, the Yangtze river delta took the lead among the world-class urban agglomeration, taking it as the research object, analyzes its representative urban network structure.The article in the perspective of railway transport links, take the 16 cities of the Yangtze river delta as the rail traffic network nodes, and make the urban rail transport links between the strength as a measure of relationship strength among the cities in 2006 and 2013,and analysis of the network density, centricity, core-edge structure, condensing subgroup between the Yangtze river delta and the provinces urban rail transport links by social network analysis methods of regional rail transit network. to discuss regional urban network structure, and the scientific of the railway network centricity and intensity of urban function fitting inspection level system, further to explore the relationship between rail transit network and the urban development.Research shows that:1,The rail transport network interconnected and in this period of time to further strengthen of the Yangtze river delta in 2006-2013. Including internal contact network relationship increase in the number 49, network density increased by 0.24. Communication network number increased the article 56, network density is raised 0.13.2, The hierarchy is obviously in the Yangtze river delta, and with the urban rail traffic construction changes occurred in the network level structure and internal network and external network and there exist certain differences in 2006-2013.3, Through the condensing subgroup analysis of the Yangtze river delta city network found that the change of the rail traffic lead to internal structure has certain change, but the long triangle area structures is still relatively stable.
