With the implementation of the Renewable Energy Law,China’s wind power industry has realized the leaping development. But in the last two years, there were contradictions in the development of China’s wind power industry. Though some problems such as the power generation technology, energy storage technology, control technology have been solved, but there is still a big gap between China’s wind power manufacturing technology level and international advanced level. Technical problems, such as the abandon wind power and the paralleling in the grid, restrict the development of industry. Holding the key technology and improving independent innovation capability are the keys to the development of wind power companies. As the construction of core competition power, either for the needs of the development of wind power industry in our country, or for the sustainable development of the enterprises, great attention should be paid to the evaluation and management of intangible assets. In view of China’s wind power enterprises, this paper studied on the evaluation and management of intangible assets aiming at the sustainable development. The theories of the intangible assets and the sustainable development have been expounded first, and pointed out that the key of the sustainable development is the core competition power, and the carrier of core competition power is intangible assets This paper defined China’s major wind power listed company profile, and analyzed the current situation and the reasons of these companies. According to the current situation, we studied on the role of intangible assets in realizing sustainable development. Based on certain objectives and principles, this paper has built a indicator system of listed wind power companies. On this basis, it established models with the grey correlation methods. Then the model is validated with the use of 40 listed companies’financial data from 2009 to 2013. The result proved that there was a positive correlation between the sustainable development and the intangible assets. At last, by analyzing the case of Goldwind Group, it offered recommendations in terms of the evaluation and management of intangible assets. This study will enrich the theoretical research of intangible assets, at the same time, the empirical research also has a practical significance for managers and investors.
