As the information and communication level in China is rapidly developing, the power industry is increasing its demand on information technology and its demand on information infrastructure. As a result, there are many software companies and software products in the market. Consequently, they are facing fierce competition.How could the privately-owner software companies survive in the market, facing not only the competition from the State grid corporation of China, but also from the Power Generation Group and its affiliated three tertiary information technology companies? How could the privately-owner software companies corporate with mentioned state-owned companies? It is not only the privately-owner software companies’core technology competence plays an important role to survive, but also its marketing strategy, especially its channel marketing strategy.Firstly, this paper will introduce the researches on channel marketing in China and abroad and its management, which will focuses on the design, construction and strategies and analyze the methodology and means to achieve channel marketing. Secondly, this paper will do a research on the development of software companies in China and abroad, and introduce the history ofsoftware industry development and find out the situation of privately-owner software companies in the market. It will analyze the Joinbright Company’s competition situation, especially its marketing difficulties, in order to forecast future development. It strongly recommends that the Joinbright Company choose the channel marketing strategy.Thirdly, this paper will multi-dimensionally analyze the Joinbright Company’s marketing channel construction strategy from multiple perspectivesin current situation. More importantly, it will discuss how the Joinbright Company can build up its channel marketing. Simultaneously, it will include the channel structure design, channel member selection, channel construction ideas for research.Finally, it is rational to establish the whole management system of channel marketing in the Joinbright Company. And this paper will do research for the channel information management, channel conflict management,evaluation of channel partners, channel business and service management to study and analysis the whole management system. Thus the marketing strategy system of Joinbright Company will be improved and enriched by injecting new vitality for the company’s market development, so as to accelerate the company’s leap-forward development.At the same time, it will also provide some enlightenment of marketing channel for electric power oriented software companies.
