Empirical Study On The Promotion To Economic Growth Of Smart City

Nowadays,cities coagulating civilization of five thousand years have been well developed,but rapid growing population,traffic congestion, atmospheric contamination,ecological disruption, atmospheric contamination have made the development heavily slowed down. Therefore,the proposition of smart city soon bring a new vision of city operation and development to the academics and the governments in the world.On the basis of ascensive information technology,smart city connect all the city intelligently and make the living and producing intelligently and conveniently,not only can it boost the economic growth,but also bring secular economic development and society advancement.In 2009,construction of smart city started in China,with preliminary results obtained,smart city trial administrative measures was released in 2012.Besides,another vital policy promoting smart city was jointly issued by eight governments departments.Under the background of weak economic growth,with smart city has becoming a hot trend the study on whether the smart city has promotion to economic growth is instructive and meaningful in China.This article firstly expound the theory of smart city and economic growth,explain the reasons of studying on this subject and illustrate the promotion function of smart city in detail.Secondly,sorting of the typical cases in China and abroad,and making contradistinctive analysis between them, it concludes the distinctions in different region including China.Thirdly,it makes research on the previous research achievements and constructs a comprehensive measuring system considering of the developing situation of Chinese smart city.Then through the technique of entropy weight and comprehensive evaluation,it acquires the comprehensive development index of Chinese smart city. Finally,it obtains the production flexibility coefficient with regression equation through an econometric model to measure the promotion to economic growth of smart city which depends Cobb-Douglas production function as prototype.Research shows that smart city has promotion to economic growth which adopting to the national conditions greatly.In consequence,this article suggests that smart city development should act to the circumstance,be stimulated by science and technology,be based on information infrastructure, focus on the talent cultivation and deem the public as the core.
