With the development and transformation of technology, modern manufacturing enterprises are facing continuous changing and increasingly fierce global competition. Informationization management has become an important way to improve their core competitiveness. As a basic data for informationization management, product structure data runs through product lifecycle and various departments of the company. Due to the complex pattern of product structure data and its involvement in many departments with large amount of data, how to ensure data accuracy and consistency in product lifecycle is the key to business success. Product Structure is organized in the way of Bill of Material (BOM) in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). However, the existing PLM technology treated BOM as independent objects at different stages of product lifecycle, which resulted in data inconsistencies among different BOMs. Therefore, this thesis focuses on the study of data consistency among BOMs in different phases of product lifecycle. By establishing a data relation model during product lifecycle, we can manage product structure data and ensure data consistency in product lifecycle.The first chapter introduces the research background and the status of related fields, summarizes some shortcomings of current research and illustrates the research significance. At the end of this chapter, the main content and research framework are proposed.The second chapter proposes the principles of product structure management based on lifecycle data relation model, the differences and connections of various BOMs in product lifecycle and the requirement of consistency management of BOM. This chapter also proposes the principles and techniques of product structure management based on lifecycle data relation model.The third chapter proposes a product lifecycle data relation model to support product structure management in product lifecycle, and elaborates a variety of business objects, data objects and relation objects in product lifecycle. Then lifecycle data relation model with these different objects is introduced.The fourth chapter proposes view establishment and derivation method based on lifecycle data relation model in product lifecycle. And it mainly elaborates how to establish and derive views based on lifecycle data relation model. Detailed description of the procedure is provided.The fifth chapter is the design and application of multi-view management system based on lifecycle data relation model. It mainly describes the overall system design and database design, and then verifies this system with an automobile drive shaft assembly.The sixth chapter is the summary and outlook. It makes a summary for this thesis, describes the main work and makes a prospect for the future work.
