Research On Coastal Tourism Development Of Dapeng District In Shenzhen

The 21 st century is the epoch for the rapid development of marine industry, meanwhile, as an important branch of marine industry, the coastal tourism has been gradually received more attentions all over the world. China is a nation with great maritime power, and the marine economy plays a very significant role in the economic development of our country. Therefore, the ocean is an important wealth and guarantee for China to realize its sustainable development.On December 30, 2011, the Dapeng district in Shenzhen came into existence. After its foundation, the slogan of “Constructing the International Coastal Tourism Resorts” was proposed. It’s imperative for the development of coastal tourism in Dapeng district, and the researches on this area should be conducted imminently. The Dapeng district has been set up less than 4 years, and the new Tourism Law has just been implemented. Under these new situations, studying the development of coastal tourism in Dapeng district and exploring a new development idea for it have critical practical significances for the sound and rapid advancement of economy and society in Dapeng district.In the first part, the paper mainly explicates the study background and significance. Moreover, it analyzes the development and current situations of the coastal tourism at home and abroad;In the second part, the paper defines the core concept of coastal tourism, analyzes its characteristics and also collates the theoretical basis of coastal tourism development;In the third part, this paper objectively describes the strength(S), weakness(W), opportunities(O) and threats(T) of coastal tourism development in Dapeng. And on the basis of this, the paper has conducted researches and discussions on the coastal tourism development of Dapeng district and put forward some development strategies for it.Finally, the paper puts lots of theoretical knowledge into practice and presents that the development of coastal tourism in Dapeng district should not blindly pursue the speed of development. It should raise the short-term, middle-term and long-term planning and development goals by stages and be in accordance with its own development realities in a down-to-earth and step-by-step manner. At the same time, the new ideas of developing “five product systems for coastal tourism” are put forward, so as to make each coastal tourism product complementary to each other and achieve the mutual promotion and sound progress. It also helps to realize the healthy and sustainable development of coastal tourism in Dapeng district and transform it as an “International Coastal Tourism Resorts” that becomes greatly popular among domestic and foreign tourists.
