The Impact Of Technology Acquisition Mode To High Technology Industry Performance

In the era of information technology, technology is one of the most competitive weapon of enterprise. The competition of enterprise technical is not only the strength of the internal R&D, but also the ability of integrating the internal and external resources. In order to obtain competitive advantage, enterprises will make technology acquisition modes to meet their needs. Meanwhile, high technology industry is active and potential. It leads the technical progress and technical innovation in our country. In the current situation of prioritizing the development of high technology industry, the researching on the relationship between high technology industry technology acquisition mode and its performance has more important theoretical and practical significance.This paper analyses a total of17years panel data from1996to2012and also studies the relationship of the technology acquisition mode, absorptive capacity and the high technology industry performance. It establishes basic model on the basis of production function, then accounts the stock value of the inputs. It uses fixed effects model and Stata software for analysis. The empirical results show that:In the long term, only the internal technology acquisition mode has a significant positive correlation on industry performance. And external technology acquisition mode do not show the significant positive correlation on industry performance. But the absorbing ability can strickly promote the positive correlation of external technology acquisition mode on industry performance. Further research shows that the interaction of the absorptive capacity with the domestic technology purchased and the technological transformation has a significant role. However, the interaction of the absorptive capacity and foreign technology import has not been confirmed.Through the above research, this article attempts to contribute to the future research on the technology acquisition mode, absorptive capacity and high technology industries. At the same time, it can explore the best technology acquisition mode of high technology industry in China. Then, it can provide basis for the establishment of high-tech industrial policy.
