The literary quality of student guides in tourism management is the cultivation and qualities in literature which are got in university education. It is a comprehensive quality or a self-cultivation whose core is the ability of aesthetic appreciation of literature. Including the cultural knowledge、the ability of aesthetic appreciation of literature and operating literature linguistic. It is a kind of literary attainment which is got by school education and self-learning in university. It is a process of constant learn--ing and practicing.Through consulting the literary accomplishment, the guide’s cultural knowledge and the other relevant documents, combining with the characteristics of the nature of literary theory, the classical theory of poetry appreciation in literary appreciation theory, the characteristics theory of the literary language, and the tourism aesthetic theory, using the Delphi method, the article constructs a evaluation index system of students guide literary accomplishment. By choosing tourism management students in nine universities in Hunan province as the object of investigation, analyzing and evaluating their guide literature attainments’presentation, then gives the effective countermeasures.The article takes a variety of research methods for the of research:Firstly, through literature analysis and Delphi method, we build the evaluation index system of students guide literary accomplishments. Secondly, through designing the expert level analysis questionnaire, we grade for the construction of the index, ensure the index weight of each indicator. Thirdly, through designing the students’questionnaire one in test questions to test students’guide literature accomplishments, questionnaire two to investigate from subjective aspects, including the self-evaluation in literature accomplishment, the interests in literature, the literary consciousness, the acquisition approaches of literary attainments, the appreciation obstacles of literary accomplishments, the application of the literary attainments and the influence of teachers on student in guide literary accomplishment. Finally, using a variety of analysis to evaluate the students’guide literary accomplishments in Hunan province. Evaluates the complete situation based on the analytic hierarchy process and the fuzzy decision method, analyzes the differences using the single factor analysis for various types of universities, researches the differences of students who have or haven’t the tour guide certification, have or haven’t the tour experience using the independent sample T test, also investigates the basic conditions of students’guide literature literacy using the descriptive analysis method and the subjective factors which influence the students’guide literature accomplishment.The research concludes:firstly, the aesthetic appreciation of literature is important in students’guide literary accomplishment, and understanding the connotation is the most important. Secondly, the level of students’ guide literature accomplishment in Hunan province is poor, it should be highly valued. Thirdly, student guide literature accomplishment needs to improve in all aspects. Fourthly, the education background, whether has the tour guide certification, whether has the experience of tour also affect the students’literature attainments. In view of the situation of students’guide literary accomplishment, we put forward countermeasures from four aspects:first, the students’self education of literature accomplishment. Second, strengthening the reading of Chinese classical poetry. Third, optimizing the literature teaching methods. Fourth, highlighting the basis position of literature education in universities.
