In the current, Consumer society has gradually become a form of developed capitalist countries. A significant feature of Consumer society is that commodity becomes more and more visual and Aesthetic. Image, culture and symbols become additional properties of commodity. In Modern Western Marxist Guy Debord’s opinion, the essence of the consumer society is “the Society of the Spectacle”. From the perspective of visual space, he has revealed that many problems in the Consumer society, such as image, media, capital, technology and ideology, make active care and resistance strategies. The text has a critical perspective of the spectacle of Consumer society to analyze the paradox and crisis of consumer society; the purpose is to critique unreasonable contemporary capitalist system.With the process of modernization in China, The traditional consumption mode gradually disintegrated. With the advance of globalization, western consumption mode gradually rises in China. To avoid the crisis of the spectacle of Consumer society, we must establish the scientific concept of consumption and healthy consumer behavior.The thesis consists of four parts. The fourth part based on Chinese national situations, combined with the actual situations in our country, make a comprehensive analysis of the current situation of domestic consumption, discusses the way of overcoming the paradox and the crisis of the western consumer society,finally, it puts forward some strategies and methods about how To construct the scientific and harmonious consumption in socialist society.
