Research On The Influence Of Financial Development On The Adjustment Of Industrial Structure

Throughout the history of the world economic development, the optimization ofindustrial structure adjustment has become one of important factors that guarantee thestability of a country’s long-term economic growth. With the continuous development ofeconomy, finance and industry development are more and more dependent on each other.It is very difficult to achieve the goal of fast adjustment of industrial structure justrelying on the industry’s own development; and a sound financial system can providesufficient funds to support the industrial structure adjustment. Therefore, it’s aninevitable requirement to change the extensive pattern of economic developmentthrough the method of relying on the financial support to promote the optimization andupgrading of industrial structure.Since the establishment of the comprehensive matched reform experiment zone forthe resource-based economic transformation, Shanxi Province has achieved majorbreakthrough in industrial structure adjustment: the emerging industry is developingrapidly; the traditional industry transformation is becoming effective gradually; thecontacts between industries are deepened little by little and new types of industrialchains such as the integration of coal and tourism industry is taking initial shape. Butmany problems still exist in industrial structure of Shanxi Province. There is a great gapbetween Shanxi and developed areas in modern agriculture and services. At the sametime, after more than ten years of rapid development, financial size is expandingunceasingly in Shanxi, but there are still many problems in terms of quality of financialdevelopment, such as single financial structure and inefficient financial institutes, etc.How to give full play to the role of finance in promoting economic transformation inShanxi Province, that’s an important problem Shanxi is facing with. Therefore, it’s ofgreat significance to conduct an in-depth study of the mechanism of the financialdevelopment influence on the industrial adjustment and to have further discussion onhow to lead finance into full play during the procedure of the industrial adjustment.This thesis takes the financial development and industrial structure adjustment asthe research object based on the actual situation of Shanxi Province, and elaborates thetheory of financial development and industrial structure adjustment as well as themechanism of adjustment effect of the financial development on the industrial structurein combination with the relevant theoretical research results at home and abroad. It alsoanalyzes in detail the status quo, the characteristics and the mutual influence of financial development and industrial structure adjustment in Shanxi. On the basis of theoreticalanalysis and the status quo analysis, the empirical research is carried out on theeffectiveness of utilizing financial development to promote the industry structureadjustment in Shanxi. The results show that financial development has played a role inthe industrial structure adjustment in Shanxi Province, but it needs improvement, stillfinance has not come into full ply in the resource optimized allocation. Finally,according to the above research conclusion，and with the help of advanced experience offoreign melts interactive mode,this thesis puts forward policy suggestions on theadjustment of industrial structure promoted by financial development in Shanxi.
