Therefore, in this paper, through empirical research methods, to explore therelationship between paternalistic leadership and employee trust and workperformance of the three, hoping to have certain significance on the theory and reality.Through literature review, this study proposes the following hypothesis:(1) Paternalistic leadership has effect on work performance(2) Paternalistic leadership has effect on employee trust(3) Employee trust has effect on work performance(4) Employee trust plays a partial intermediary role between paternalisticleadership and work performance.In order to validate the above hypothesizes, this study used questionnaires fordata collection, and we received446effective questionnaires in total. Then we usedSPSS18.0to analysis and process the data, finally got the following conclusion:(1) Paternalistic leadership’s effect on the work performance is establishedpartly, benevolent leadership, moral leadership has positive effect on workperformance.Effect of authoritarian leadership on work performance does not exist.(2) Paternalistic leadership’s effect on the employee trust is established part,benevolent leadership has positive effect on employee trust, moral leadership haspositive effect on employee trust. Effect of authoritarian leadership on employee trustdoes not exist.(3) Employee trust has positive effect on work performance(4) Affect-based trust plays a partial intermediary role between benevolentleadership and work performance; affect-based trust plays a partial intermediaryrole between moral leadership and work performance. Cognition-based trust plays afully intermediary role between benevolent leadership and work performance;Cognition-based trust plays a Fully intermediary role between moral leadership andwork performance. Through the research on the relationship between paternalistic leadership andemployee trust, job performance, help to improve the theory of the relationshipbetween the three; On the other hand, benevolent leadership,moral leadership has thegood effect on employee trust and job performance, bringing some enlightenment tothe management. In the process of the implementation of leadership behavior,compared with the strict and strong management mode may be kindness, tolerance ofleadership style can lead to better performance. At the same time, in order to betteradapt to the development of modern society, authoritarian leadership timely to makesome adjustments, in order to make the paternalistic leadership can better play itseffectiveness. |
