Research On BGP’s Overseas Operations Comprehensive Risk Management System

In the booming economic development today, Advances in information technology and global economic integration to promote the tremendous changes in the world economic structure. Enterprises are facing more complex external environment, the number and complexity of risk are increasing. Enterprises should not overlook the importance of risk management when it develop new market.Comprehensive risk management for enterprises is a very important job, and it relate to the business goals and sustainable development.BGP is a subsidiary of Petro China, which Specialize in geophysical exploration of specialized engineering and technical services. Distribution of the company’s overseas operations is in51countries, most of which are high-risk areas. Overseas business is currently in a rapid growth, and the company’s overseas business is currently no systematic risk management system. Risk management status is sporadic and it has only internal control department of foreign operations management. Establish a set of comprehensive overseas operations risk management system is particularly important. COSO-ERM is the theoretical foundation of this paper. By studying comprehensive risk management theories and literature, we get the conclusion of common and difference of the framework. We explore the elements of comprehensive risk management system from the conclusion.The comprehensive risk management ideas of overseas operations are based on eight elements of COSO-ERM. Overseas operation process is the main line to conduct the comprehensive risk management studies. At last, we propose the implementation process safeguards of comprehensive risk management system.The building and implementation of comprehensive risk management system build a good start of scientific risk management for the company. And it comprehensively improves the level of scientific management. It gives a powerful guarantee for the sustained and healthy development of overseas business. It also provides a reference for other group companies of overseas operations.
