A Study On Development Problems And Development Strategies Of Korean Banks In China After The Financial Crisis

World banking industry has brought big changes in management environment, development strategy and regulation system after the financial crisis in2008. So, it is the turning point of World banking industry’s development model change. World economy is faced to dual crisis after the European debt crisis, and World economy trend has been astable. Also, World economy and banking industry have brought a lot of economy policy’s changes after the financial crisis, and Korean banks in China are faced to different management environment. Contrary to the rapid development of China banks, Korean banks in China are faced with many problems. Therefore, this paper researches Korean banks in China which have development problems and development strategies after the financial crisis, and I believe it has very important practical meaning.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction, briefly introduce the study background and significance, domestic and international literature review, research contents and method, innovation and shortcoming of this paper.The second part analyses bank development theories and affect factors, including foreign bank development theories and affect factors. These are the theoretical foundation of this paper.The third part is that development characteristics and trend of world banking after the financial crisis. This part analyzes the major change of global banking and china banking after the financial crisis including the changes in the management environment, development strategies and regulatory regimes.The fourth part is development features and problems of Korean bank in China. First, this paper studies Korean bank’s entry motivation and process to China market, and the development tendency. On this base, this paper studies the development problems of Korean banks in China after the financial crisis. Then, I cite three Korean banks’examples in Liaoning Province, and prove the problems.The fifth part is Korean banks development strategies in the post-crisis era. First, by using SWOT analysis method and on the background of fourth part suggest the development strategies to the Korean banks in China after the financial crisis.This paper thought that the big problems of Korean banks in China are comply with75%loan-deposit ratio and regulations, and these problems constraint development of Korean banks in China. For solve this business problems, Korean banks have to get over this difficult situation, Korean banks have to change the strategies and management model. This paper proposed strategies are expand the scope of the business, speed up development in China; strengthen localization strategy, achieve development in China; reinforce risk management, achieve stable operation; promote differentiated business model.
