JC Branch of China Pacific Property Insurance Company (hereinafter referred to as JCBranch of CPIC) is a provincial branch of China Pacific Property Insurance Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as CPIC), underwriting the various property insurance, casualtyinsurance and other insurance services in the RMB and foreign currency. Underwritingdirection involves in various fields of automobile, electric power, chemical, mechanical,hydraulic, electronic, bridges, buildings, roads, high-tech industries and so on. CPIC adoptsthe organizational structure of head office, provincial branch, municipal branch, countybranch. JC Branch of CPIC manages municipal branch and county branch. It’s regionalprofit center.Facing with ever-changing market environment, to achieve sustained and healthydevelopment of the whole business, we need to improve the basic management skillsconstantly. As China’s insurance industry is the high-speed development, we need to find away to keep the high performance of JC branch and enable the company to grow faster thanthe historical level. Performance evaluation is one of the means to achieve a smooth andhealthy development. At present, the domestic insurance companies mostly set up their ownperformance evaluation system, but most evaluation system directs for sales managementcenter, and the evaluation of management is relatively weak. It makes most of companiestroubled.In this paper, the Department Managers of JC Branch of CPIC as the research object, itanalyzes the job responsibilities and performance characteristics of the DepartmentManagers of JC Branch of CPIC in depth, and it analyzes the situation and the existingproblems of performance evaluation of the Department Managers of JC Branch of CPIC. Onthe basis of this analysis, by means of the theoretical knowledge and practical work, itresearches the performance evaluation of the Department Managers, and establishes theperformance evaluation indicators of the Department Managers, and analyzes the weightingand the standards of the indicators. This paper draws the table of performance evaluation ofthe Department Managers one by one. Among them, the performance evaluation index isdivided into quantitative and qualitative indicators. This method of quantitative indicators ofperformance evaluation uses the key performance index method, and it is named KPI method.This method of qualitative indicators of performance evaluation mainly uses360-degree performance evaluation method. In order to ensure the performance evaluation effectively,the paper establishes the performance evaluation management scheme, and provides theperformance evaluation principle, evaluation method, performance evaluation cycle andprocess etc. At the same time, this paper also take into account the particularity of insuranceindustry management, it leads to other factors into the performance evaluation management.It provides a standard of application of performance evaluation results, and improves theperformance evaluation system of the Department Managers of JC Branch of CPIC.In this paper, it combines theory and practice, and analyzes management responsibilitiesand performance evaluation index practically and deeply, and adds the special nature of theindustry. The paper produces a more reasonable performance evaluation of the DepartmentManagers, and improves the original performance evaluation system of the DepartmentManagers of JC branch. The clear and specific performance evaluation studies can direct thebusiness managers of the enterprise to manage the performance evaluation of the DepartmentManagers better, and it can optimize human resource management system to ensure theeffective implementation of the strategy of JC branch. Moreover, it is the reference andguidance to the practice of other companies. The issues such as performance evaluation ofthe Department Managers have universality. The conclusion of the study can be extended ina certain range, and can provide a reference for corporate managers and academics.
