The rise of domestic vacation tour indicates the new developing direction of tourism. Hainan has fabulous conditions for developing vacation travel. Focusing on developing vacation tourism product and creating an international tourist resort island are necessary for promoting the tourism and local economy development.It has been urgently affair for developing vacation tourism products to find out how to make full use of various resources to develop vacation tourism products that meet the needs of the market and to well dock and integrate resources advantages and market demands through products.Introducing the RMP (Resource, Market, Product) theory to the analysis of the development of vacation tourism, through literature research, social surveys and questionnaires, the paper carries on R Analysis (resource assessment and product transformation), M Analysis (market characteristics and market segments) and P Analysis (location, policy and social economic environment) and finally puts forward the development idea and strategies of Hainan vacation tourism product.The results show that(1) R Analysis:Hainan has rich vacation tourism resources of high quality and it has strong conversion ability to transfer resources into products;(2) P Analysis:The holiday tourism market of Hainan can be divided into three segments according to the age and every segment has its distinct group identity,(3) M Analysis:Hainan resort tourism product development has superior geographical conditions, policies and sockl and economic environment;(4) According to the RMP analysis, the paper puts forward that Hainan vacation tourism product development should be based on product value hierarchy, treat "international, ecological and theme" as the developing philosophy, regard different themes as the developing clues, and build net type vacation tourism product structure.
