In the context of the rapid development of market economy, small and micro enterprises have made important contributions for social and economic development, becoming a force to be reckoned with. However, small and micro enterprises are small and weak, poor collateral, credit information is missing, make it difficult to obtain necessary financing. Bank of Changsha, as a local city commercial bank, should actively explore small and micro financial services model, develop competitive strategies, and win the small and micro finance market competition.A full investigation of small micro-finance business in Changsha is made in this thesis. The internal and external environments of Bank of Changsha on small micro-finance business are analyzed with various strategy analysis tools, and the current situation of small and micro financial services in Bank of Changsha is discussed. On this basis, the competitive strategy on small micro-finance business for Bank of Changsha is made, specific content of the differentiation strategy is proposed. Further more, some specific measures of implementation of this strategy are deeply analyzed in this study.Choice of competitive strategy determines enterprise development trend and competitive advantage. With the intensification of market interest rates and bank homogenization of competition, follow differentiation strategy routes is necessary for Bank of Changsha to achieve sustainable development in banking and financial services. To ensure the implementation of the strategy, Bank of Changsha should strive in optimize organizational restructuring, risk management, customer development and market analysis, financial product innovation, brand building, incentive management and so on. Focus on strengths, flexible and efficient, innovative ideas to build a platform, we will be able to achieve the vision that: building the first brand in regional small and micro finance.
