Research On Internal Control Of Auto Insurance Of Ping An Property And Casualty Insurance Company Of China,Ltd.

Auto-insurance reform has been a challenge to the large but not strong insurance market.In recent years, China has made great progress in the construction of the internal controlsystem, but, for companies, there are many problems existing in the actual internal controlsystem, which cannot meet the requirements of objective economic environment and themodern enterprise system. To improve the situation of internal control of auto-insurance ininsurance companies, it becomes critical to strengthen internal controls.This thesis studies motor vehicle insurance business of Ping An Property Insurance Co.,Ltd. According to the specific requirements of internal control system of the “Basic Norms ofthe Insurance Company’s Internal Controls” issued in August2010by China InsuranceRegulatory Commission, it, using AHP and fuzzy evaluation, analyzes the advantages anddisadvantages of internal control of auto insurance business of Ping An Property Insurance Co.,Ltd., in order to control the risk effectively and propose specific measures to improve internalcontrols.Firstly, this thesis reviewed the relevant theory of internal control, introduced the relatedresearch and the latest theoretical developments at home and abroad, and elaborated the largebut not strong status of auto-insurance market. Secondly, based on the “Basic Norms of theInsurance Company’s Internal Controls”, it analyzed the problems and causes of internalcontrol of auto insurance of Ping An Property Insurance Co., Ltd. Thirdly, according to therequest of the internal control system of the insurance industry proposed by “Internal ControlStandards of Insurance Company”, it resolved the contents in three levels of the system into14specific evaluations, which are used as investigating factors to form questionnaires distributedto60employees who have been working in Ping An for more than three years. Then, AHP andfuzzy evaluation were used to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of internal control ofauto-insurance business of Ping An, and thus more targeted measures to improve internalcontrols have been proposed.
